Welcome to Troop 101! Our Troop is excited you have chosen or are considering us as your scouting home and we look forward to being able to share in your son’s journey through this wonderful outdoor program called scouting. We strive to develop an exciting program for youth and adult alike, built on a foundation of experience and success.  We do this in an environment which encourages and nurtures leadership, service and friendship at all levels.

We are very fortunate to have many tremendous resources available to execute our program. Our Charter Organization is Noblesville First United Methodist Church and they provide us with all of the physical support to carry out our meetings. In addition, we have access to a wonderful outdoor space for camping, training, and outdoor fun in the Teter Family Retreat.

It’s the people that make Troop 101 a great place to be and we welcome you and encourage you to take an active role in your son’s scouting career. We have numerous trained leaders that support our outdoor and meeting programs. Our Troop Committee is active and organized to ensure our program continues to function smoothly. We have talented adult leaders and parents who provide us with a pool to teach almost any Merit Badge. We have leaders who are active on our District and Council levels and provide us with information and support.

We have a strong tradition of youth leadership development and we support our boys in operating the Troop using the Patrol Method. Our goal is to train our youth to succeed in a way that models successful leadership and responsibility so our next generation of youth can smoothly transition into positions of increasing responsibility. We encourage frequent Patrol Leader’s conferences to support our youth in developing vision and leadership.

Our Scouts and Adult Leaders have been and continue to be recognized with many achievements throughout the years. We have over 100 Eagle Scouts, Vigil Honor members of the Order of the Arrow, Minisino Honor in the Firecrafter Organization, District Award of Merit honors, and Silver Beaver Award winners.

Lastly, we have an active and year round outdoor program. Nature is a wonderful teacher. The challenges of an outdoor program teach a young man responsibility, confidence and leadership skills that will last a lifetime. We strive to maintain a balance of fun and education in our outdoor program. You can’t spell “Scouting” without “outing”!
