Troop 101,
For those of you attending this weekend’s campout, please plan to be at Teter Retreat Friday evening anytime after 6pm. Please do not arrive before 6pm and make sure you have already had dinner. The troop is NOT providing transportation to and from Teter retreat. Each Scout is responsible for his own transportation to Teter on Friday evening and home from Teter on Sunday morning. There will be a campfire Friday evening after we set up camp so feel free to bring snacks.
Our morning on Saturday will consist of six separate educational sessions that will prepare everyone for the afternoon exercise. The afternoon exercise will be a mock disaster including a search and rescue format in which we will apply our skills that we learned in the morning sessions. We will have another campfire Saturday evening along with a Dutch oven dessert cook-off.
On Sunday morning we’ll have breakfast and a Scout’s Own Service, and the scouts will be ready to be picked up at 10 am. Please refer to the weekend camping checklist on Trooptrack for what to pack, and don’t forget your mess kits and water bottles. The weather looks like it will be beautiful, and should be a great weekend for tent camping.
