Popcorn Storefront Sales and Inventory

I hope you are off to a great start selling popcorn. Please use the “Scout Fundraising” App to record sales. If you do not want to record cash sales individually, I’d appreciate if you’d enter a summary transaction of your sales on a weekly basis (before Sunday night). This will help me greatly with inventory management (sole purpose of gathering the information). Alternatively, you can fill out this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfHmj5YeaRDS1fM2X1Y5oQ8zdmER_6xziMdurR6zUs8C8MIkg/viewform

Storefront sales. (A great big Thank You to Stephen Hunt for coordinating with the stores)
There are a few storefronts available this week. Priority will be given to those who have not done a storefront. (If you do not have product or low, I can try to supply from the troop stock).

Available – Wednesday 5-6:30 (2) or 6:30-8, Thursday 6-8, Saturday 5-7 (2), Sunday 1-3 (2), and Wed. Sept 5, 5-630, and 6:30-8 (2). Please respond with your preferred time. The remaining spots will be available for sign-up through the app at a later date (please do not sign up through the app right now though).

  • Each scout will need to wear his Class A uniform and have an adult present at all times.
  • You need to bring your own table, signage and money for change. Use the app for credit card sales.
  • If you run out of popcorn, solicit military donations for any amount. It doesn’t have to be for $30 or $50, but those who donate that specific dollar amount receive a ribbon and receipt (get address). Other donation amounts do not receive anything. Military donations will be consolidated at the troop level, but you will get commission for the amount that you collect. Attached is a sign that can be put on a container and used for the military donations.
  • Track all sales; in the app or on your order form.
  • Arrive at the store a few minutes before the agreed upon time. If there is no other scout there, speak with someone at the service desk and let them know who you are, the troop you are with, and that you are there to conduct a popcorn sale. Ask where they’d like you to set up the table. If you are replacing a scout, do not bother the store employees.
  • Display the products neatly on the table.
  • With a smile on your face, ask customers if they’d like to support the Boy Scout program. Always be polite and thank your customer.

Chocolate items.
Due to heat and risk of melting, chocolate items were unavailable for the original order. We will receive chocolate items around Sept. 20. I will place the order on Sept. 9 based on the original requests. If your needs change, please let me know.
