Conservation Service Project

Hello Troop 101,

If you still need service for rank whether you are a first year or a Life Scout this is for you.

We have a conservation service project scheduled for this Saturday form 1:00 pm-4:00 pm at Koteewi Park     12308 Strawtown Ave., Noblesville

We will meet in the parking lot at the nature center.  I will have a park waiver form that needs to be signed and a troop check- in sheet for your volunteer hours. I’ll then be able to direct you to were we are going on the trail and show you what the plants looks like that you will be pulling.

We will be pulling out  Honey Suckle and Stinging Nettle.  Long sleeved shirts and pants are strongly encouraged.  There is also poison ivy in the area and you really don’t want to find out how badly the nettle stings.  Thick work gloves are preferred for the nettle.

I have some tools for the Honey Suckle from the park.  Bring shovels and a water bottles.

Thanks, Melanie Baker
