YPT Training

T101 Adults,

I hope this emails finds you all at home and are healthy during this new “normal”. We are all having to adapt to all the hats we must now wear at home such as parent, teacher, employer/employee just to name a few. I wish you all luck with these many roles.

As you know the BSA launched a new version of YPT training in the Spring of 2018. At that time, all adults in the troop were required to complete this new version of the training and it was valid for two years. If you have not completed YPT training since the new version was launched, you are (or will be soon) out of compliance.

Normally, I would conduct the YPT training during Mug Club at the weekly Troop meetings. However, since we are unable to meet, I wanted to make sure that everyone was aware that there is an opportunity for you to complete the training online at home.

To complete the training, you will need to go to http://www.my.scouting.org and log in (or create an account if you do not already have one). Once logged in, under the Menu icon at the top left, you will select my training. The next screen should list the YPT training course that needs to be taken. When you click on the course it will load the launch page and you can begin the course.

Once you have completed the course, it will give you the option to print your certificate. Because we are not doing the training as a group, you will need to print the certificate as proof of completing the training. The certificate needs to emailed Mrs. Baker.

Remember, every registered adult with the troop must have current YPT training on file in order to participate in any Scout activity or event.

Please take the opportunity while we all have some extra time at home and complete the YPT training. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

YIS, Mrs. Rinker
