Conservation Service Volunteer opportunity Sept. 24th

Hello Troop 101,

Jessica Langemeier is the service coordinator for Troop 205 in Fishers.

She has passed the following along to me about a service day on September 24th. You may read about her goal below.

The goal is to have a day of scout service across Hamilton County on September 24.  With the help of Tim Stottlemyer (City of Noblesville, Stormwater Dept., MS4), we’ve organized a project for packs, troops and crews on that day along the White River, as part of their ongoing project to extend and maintain grounds along the White River Trail.  Specific details are in the link below.  It’s aimed at scouts of all ages, and parents are welcome to volunteer as well.  There will also be educational material, and question/answer sessions, on soil and water conservation.

Please let me know if you are interested so that I may get our Troop signed up for the service.  It looks like conservation service hours so this would be a great project to work on for any Life scout needing conservation service hours.
