Troop 101,
There are a couple of upcoming service opportunities for you with our Charter Organization NFUMC. We need to show our support and help.
The first event is September 10th. We do have a campout this same weekend so if you are not going to be going on the campout please attend this and help out for a couple hours. Yes, you will get service hours.
The second is the Annual Rummage Sale, October 8 – 13. Several of you have done this in the past and have had a lot of fun and were a huge help to the Church.
I will work on getting a sign up set up in Troop Track. You may email me directly until sign ups are live.
I am being asked to tell them how many will be helping.

Our first event is Sunday, September 10. We would need the scouts to plan to be here from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Have them come to Celebration Hall to await their assignments. We have several ways they can serve.
- Place table covers, set out paper plates, napkins, plastic utensils, cups
- Make Tea, coffee and lemonade and have in self serve containers (2 liters contributed)
- Organize the food onto tables, similar food grouped together,
- Make sure serving spoons and utensils are available, pies cut, etc
- Clean up of kitchen, and utensils, box food for takeout or return to owners
- Man the inflatables, limiting the number of people using the below maximum
- Man dunk tank, retrieving balls to participants
- Assist gathering contact information at two photo booths as pictures are taken
Our second event is our annual rummage sale the week of fall break, October 8 – 13. We could use their help during any/all of the time frames. I am not sure what all they would be doing since I have never been here for rummage week. I assume they will run errands, move boxes, guard areas to prevent items from being stolen, etc.
Items are dropped off on the first 3 days
10/8 Sunday – 1 – 5pm
10/9 Monday – 8 am – 4pm
10/10 Tuesday – 8 – 11 am
People are shopping
10/11 Wednesday – 3 – 7pm
10/12 Thursday – 10 am – 4pm
10/12 Friday – 8 am – 2 pm
