Upcoming dates to be aware of

Hello Troop 101,

In my last email concerning yearly paperwork we also have a few changes in the program that over the back half of Feb and a little into March that we will be going over. It will be very helpful if everyone is in attendance so we can all start off the year on the same page.

Current leadership team – please start bringing back your leadership folders so that we can get them prepared for the new leadership team.

Here are the upcoming dates so you can mark your calendars.

Feb 12th In addition to the troop meeting,  the SPL’s will decide if you receive your leadership so that you will know if you need or want to run for another position of leadership.

Feb. 19th are Troop Elections

Feb. 26th are OA elections and a  PLC meeting for the newly elected leadership. We need everyone there to be able to vote. Those not in the PLC will still have a meeting.

Feb 27th – 7:00 pm-8:30 pm  the newly elected leadership will have ILST training.  This is to prepare and help them to be able to do their position.  They will also be eligible to attend NYLT training in the spring or fall.  More information on this will be given out soon.

March 4th – Jeff Dehmer will be giving a High Adventure prestation to explain what it is, who can go, and to see what adventures will be of interest to the scouts in 2025. Planning for this starts now.

Life scouts will also be having a meeting before the actual meeting.  This is to go over changed to the rank of Eagle and other items that need to be covered.  A separate email will be sent to you explaining the time and location along with what will be needed for this meeting.

March 11 – Troop Track training for everyone.  Many of you tell me you don’t know how to find anything. Please be sure to attend.

After these not so fun but informative and necessary meetings the PLC will have fun activities for you to do for the rest of their term.

Thanks,

Melanie
