Parents & Scouts:
A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.
Shortly after we begin our time in Ransburg next week, every tent will be inspected by a combination of Camp Staff and Troop 101 youth leadership. The condition of each tent will be noted – and then re-inspected upon check-out. The Camp Staff is there to ensure that any damage that is done during the week is taken care of by the appropriate party before the Scout goes home.
Naturally we all take great pride in our young men, and don’t want to think that any of them might be a little careless while in camp, but the reality is sometimes things happen that shouldn’t. I just want to make each of you aware of what you will be responsible for prior to leaving Ransburg should your son get a little rambunctious. Please be sure to review the attached Equipment Responsibility sheet, and see what the camp charges for any damages to camp equipment. All damages must be paid for on Saturday morning before you may leave camp. The Troop will not pay for damages. Please remember the 9th point of the Scout law… a Scout is Thrifty. There is absolutely no need to incur any damages while in camp.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Yours in Scouting, Mr. Hunt
