Hello Adults of Troop 101,Just a quick message to let everyone know that while the Scouts are having their gift exchange during the Troop meeting on December 18th, we will be having the much cooler3rd Annual Mug Club Gift Exchange! Each of the past two years, this has been a great time for fun and fellowship among all adults in Troop 101. Last year we had over 30 participants and I’d love to see even more there this year. Please bring a wrapped gift that is $10-15-ish in price that you think someone would like. It can be silly, but not a white elephant (since I once received a box of “misc I found in my trunk” at a company gift exchange…let’s not do that). Hope to see everyone there. We will even find a way this time to have Leaders helping with Troop meeting join in, if they would like to. See you for the fun.
We will also be having Mug Club on December 11th. It will be fun too, but of a topic yet to be determined.
Finally, on an unrelated topic, a reminder that University of Scouting is being held on January 13th at Warren Central High School (basically I-70 and Post Road). This is a great opportunity for all Leaders and Parents to learn more about all of the opportunities in Scouting through over 200 classes in everything from Troop finances to knots to planning high-adventure trips.
