Looking for volunteers to make up a fundraising team for popcorn. Seeking individuals who can help with the following:
– Storefront sales. Contact stores to schedule times, make schedule, manage sign-ups. (Boys and their parents are responsible for managing that time slot). Would like 1-2 people. Stephen Hunt is currently in this function.
– Sales. Run salesmanship merit badge concurrently with the popcorn sale. Motivate boys to sell. Need 1 adult to work with Jeff Kozicki this year.
– Kick-off. Plan and conduct popcorn kick-off for the boys. This happens during one meeting in August. Theme this year is Mad Scientist. Have a least one fun activity, Have boys complete a goal sheet and draw for a prize. Carolyn Blackmore has been completing this task.
– Inventory tracking. Order popcorn, distribute, keep track of sales, collect money, make deposits, manage inventory, order prizes, work with and report to treasurer and committee.. Everything else not covered above, but tasks can be delegated among more people. Carolyn Blackmore will again be doing this, but this is her last year. Need at least one person to help this year and take over next year.
– The initial popcorn pick-up is scheduled for August 22, at 4:45. Only adults are allowed in the SMC warehouse. Need several volunteers to load and unload.
