I was asked to send this out to try and get a table filled for the 25th Annual Governor’s Luncheon for Scouting, the nation’s largest community-based Governor’s Luncheon for the Boy Scouts of America.
The luncheon takes place this year on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, from Noon-1:00pm at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis. This new location will allow socially distanced guests to still enjoy the biggest community-wide celebration of Scouting during the year. Please arrive early — between 11:30-11:45 a.m. Last year, the Governor’s Luncheon enjoyed a large attendance of more than 2,000 business leaders, state and local dignitaries, and Scouting supporters. Over $1,000,000 was raised for Scouts of the Crossroads of America Council.
The Governor’s Luncheon for Scouting serves as the launch point for Scouting’s 2021 Friends of Scouting campaign, which builds capacity for Scout programs and outreach initiatives that impact more than 35,000 young people in Central Indiana. Governor Eric Holcomb will provide the keynote. Another exciting and fast paced, high energy program has been planned by this year’s Co-Chairs, Jim Morris, Dr. Virginia Caine, Jeff Harrison, and Deana Haworth, to feature extraordinary Scouts and volunteers from the Crossroads of America Council. There will be opportunity during the luncheon for guests to pledge their support for Scouting. Fundraising can be accomplished through corporate pledges and/or individual pledges, payable anytime in 2021. An event information sheet is enclosed for your review.
Please RSVP to me by November 15. I look forward to hosting you at the Governor’s Luncheon and promise you another impressive and inspirational event for Scouting in Indiana.
If you cannot attend, please support the BSA and me as a Table Host with a gift by visiting https://www.crossroadsbsa.org/support/ by November 24th (include my name in the comments). Join us virtually to watch the event!
Very truly yours,
Melanie Baker,
